Projet Timor Port S.A. brings together three major areas of expertise: terminal management, conventional handling, and port services for ships. Whether on board to load and unload ships or on land (containers or cargo), our dedicated teams, organized by type of cargo, provide you with the experience and resources required for efficient and safe handling. We can handle all your handling operations for all types of goods, whether containerized or conventional: loading and unloading, transfer to shore of containers and bulk goods, dedicated storage, warehousing, transfer of empty or full containers, unstuffing / unpacking. Our teams operate in a Q-HSE approach and with adapted and efficient IT resources. They receive regular training and carry out their activities in accordance with the Africa Global Logistics code of ethics..
Some are related to the management of a container terminal while others are inherent to a classical maritime activity
Maritime services are provided by our partner BOLUDA, the world’s 2nd largest expert in the field of towing. They include piloting, towing, and mooring of ships.
This partnership has been concluded for a duration equivalent to the concession. For Timor Port, Boluda had two tugs and a pilot boat specially built. This equipment will ensure the ingress and egress of all ships that will be handled in the port of Tibar Bay and can also intervene in the event of a rescue on a ship in difficulty. A permanent crew of ten people, a pilot and ten lameness will provide these specific services, most of which require highly specialized certifications.
The Harbor Master, under the direction of the maritime authority DNTM, ensures the surveillance of the Bay of Tibar, the management of the arrivals and departures of ships, the positioning in defined anchorage points.
It oversees the management of the whole camera and radar package which grants all the visibility of Tibar Bay. Vessels will have to obtain their authorization before being able to settle there.
They include port handling for all types of cargo categories: containers, breakbulk, general cargo, roro, heavy lift.
From on-board handling activities: loading/unloading of the ship, OOG management, shifting, lashing, unlashing, management of refrigerated containers, management of specific movements (hatch covers, gear boxes), tracking of containers, IMDG, Transhipment, etc. Up to land handling: storage, import delivery, return of empties, provision of empties for export, entry of full export loads, weighing, unloading, deconsolidation, cleaning, repair.
